St. Mary's is now scheduling procedures

St. Mary's Medical Center is moving forward in a safe, measured way to serve all patients seeking care now that it appears the COVID-19 peak is behind us. Following all guidelines and criteria established by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and leading national health care experts and associations, the hospital is now scheduling procedures and elective surgeries.

Hopsital leadership will continuously monitor the number of COVID-19 patients in the community in case we see a surge of new positive cases and need to reinstate the more strict precautionary measures we implemented at the beginning of this health crisis.

Our Emergency Department has been and will continue to be open 24/7 for anyone needing urgent care, we are scheduling procedures, and our laboratory is open to anyone who has orders from their physician.

New Visitor Guidelines

In March, the San Francisco Department of Public Health issued an order prohibiting visitors from entering hospitals to prevent possible transmission of COVID-19 to our vulnerable patients. We know how difficult it has been for families who have not been allowed to visit their loved ones during the last few months. Now hospital patients, with the exception of Behavioral Health, are allowed visitors under new guidelines outlined here.

Visiting hours are from 10am - 4pm everyday and patients may only have one visitor per day for one hour. All visitors will be screened for possible symtoms upon entering the hospital and required to wear a mask to protect our patients and frontline staff from potential exposure.

At the foundation, we continue to raise funds for our Disaster Relief Fund to assist in the hospital's efforts to respond to this ongoing pandemic and any future needs that may arise. The outpouring of support has touched all of our hearts, be it through financial contributions, or donations of meals and supplies for our frontline workers. Every contribution makes a difference and we are so grateful for your ongoing support.
