Margine Sako

Vice President 

Margine has served in various leadership positions for Dignity Health Philanthropy, and leads a variety of successful fundraising efforts, such as a physician campaign and $8.5M capital campaign.  She also manages foundation relationships with the hospital administration and medical staff. 

Margine was a San Francisco Health Commissioner, program officer at the San Francisco Foundation, and worked for the former Mayor and California Speaker Willie Brown.  She is married, has a black belt in Judo, and spends time with her horses and parrot. 


Markham Miller

Sr. Director of Philanthropy

Markham has spent over 30 years working in development with over 16 years working for Dignity Health. Locally he worked for both Seton Health Services Foundation and Saint Francis Foundation. Markham is responsible for planning and administering a comprehensive and balanced fundraising program in support of the foundation’s goals.

Markham is an avid runner and has completed 32 marathons. He is a member of the USA Track, Field Pacific Association, and the Excelsior Running Club. He has performed in numerous regional theatrical productions and studied at the American Conservatory Theatre. Markham serves as the President of the Board of Directors of the Playwrights Foundation. 


Nicole Yelich

Manager of Annual Giving, Communications & Grants

Nicole Yelich has fifteen years’ experience in external communications and public affairs throughout the Bay Area. Before joining Dignity Health in October 2019, she worked with an array of nonprofits, small businesses and corporations to help them find meaningful ways to give back to their communities.  

Nicole began her career as a healthcare advocate for low-income women and their families in her hometown of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She is a writer, an avid sports fan and inherited her love of cooking from her feisty Italian grandma.
