Employee Giving
St. Mary's Hospital enjoys a proud legacy of employee philanthropy and we are honored that so many of our caregivers and their families choose to make St. Mary's one of their annual giving priorities. Through a tax-deductible gift to the St. Mary's Hospital Foundation, St. Mary's employees help to ensure that the same quality care they deliver every day will be available to their friends, family and neighbors in their time of need.
Taking care of each other
Take care of each other by joining the employee giving campaign. The beneficiary of your support will be the Employee Wellness Fund or the fund of your choice. Through your generosity you can support the people who strive to make our community healthy— each other!
Making a Gift
Making a gift to the St. Mary's Hospital Foundation's Employee Giving Campaign is easy and convenient! Simply select one of the methods below.
To give either a one-time gift or an ongoing recurring gift using payroll or PTO deduction you may go directly to the Dignity Health Employee Self Serve (ESS) site.
- Visit https://ess.dignityhealth.org
- Log-in with your employee ID and network password
- Click “Bookmarks” in the upper left corner
- From the menu, click “Employee Self-Service”
- From the menu, click “Employee Giving” and then “ESS Employee giving”
- Click “Add Donation”
- Select donation option of your choosing
- Select “St. Mary's Medical Center Foundation (SF)” from the menu - note: do not select (Long Beach)
- Click “Confirm”
- Enter your name as you wish the Foundation to recognize you
- Enter a designation in the “Purpose Restriction” box or leave it blank. If you leave the Purpose Restriction box blank, it means your donation will be allocated to the Area of Greatest Need Fund for St. Mary's.
